What does a Digital Consultant actually do?
I act as a bridge between your business and today’s ever changing online arena helping you connect with your market using a combination of training, hands on development, business tools and support.
Using me as a digital consultant enables my clients to take advantage of a deeper level of experience and expertise than would be possible for them to develop in house.
Project Initiation
Through structured meetings with your key departments and or personnel I will familiarise myself with your business in order to:
- Identify unmet needs, goals, challenges and shortfalls.
- Identify key opportunities and online assets.
- Develop the business strategy.
- Identify priorities and timescales for delivery of the business strategy.
Within this business strategy we may implement a combination of the following marketing strategies:

What is the digital consultancy package made up of?
Training
Training is of course optional. However working within your workspace i can implement training to your key personnel. I will identify strengths and areas where we can improve upon and I will introduce them to tools which will enable them to implement some of the strategies I put together more effectively.
Project Development
Of course much of the work must be done by me. Working closely with you I will implement a range of strategies across the marketing mix and set up campaigns alongside you.
Support
When working with a client I am available via regular scheduled site visits as well as on the phone or by email for continued support whenever problems or questions arise.
Reporting
All work with be backed up with detailed reporting on a range of key metrics such as;
- Keyword Positions on the Major Search Engines
- Traffic volume by Keyword
- Traffic volume by source – e.g.
- Search Engines
- Social Networking Sites
- Referring Websites
- Conversions – be they:
- Sales
- Contacts

Project Duration
Projects tend to vary tremendously in duration depending on the client needs. Some very large corporate projects are ongoing and it can take 6 to 12 months to implement fully. Many smaller projects can be done on a shorter term and can see fast results.
